I agree: color and definition are excellent; my print has also excellent steadyness which is not always the case with Derann prints to to (sometines) uneven slitting.

You were really lucky in finding someone willing to part with it. Enjoy!

I would love to have this and Aliens on super 8. But it wasn't only Derann who had problems with the slitting, Walton too had a few too.

I love the smell of film in the morning.

I use to own a print that I thought wasn't very good quality. So I sold it. I just received one reel of the Full length print and it has very good quality! It must have been my machine that was the culprit! Se la vie! Glad you got a copy.

Love my feature print of Alien.... and it must have been very tough to print it, due to the nature of the images in the film. Lots of dark areas....things not quite super sharp to begin with...the low key lighting. In space it's hard to balance the need for the space sky to be perfectly black...but still have the ship and other items to show up properly without washing them out. The color on the original film, which I saw in a theater when it opened, was already subdued and looked almost like a partially faded print..... aside from a few lights on control panels, you don't see greens and very few blues throughout the film. Whoever made the neg and the prints of Alien did a great job. the stereo sound is great , too.
