Just a stupid question. If I can afford to go, can I go without the dinner thingy? I am a very picky eater and know from experience I would not like the dinner. You are still welcome to the actual film convention or are they tied together?

Vidar,

The dinner is a separate event, organised, I believe by Adrian Winchester, you basically do what you want to do!

Thanks, I was hoping that. So you can use any hotel. On that subject, is there any reasonable places to stay in Blackpool? Must have on suite bathroom/toilet, hate shared ones.

Vidar,

If you can't get a room at The Hilton, then either The Savoy or The Cliffs Hotel's are suitable, they all offer ensuite rooms, so do the majority of Blackpool Hotel's.

Thanks ... Please do post the details Yanis.

Thanks to Lee also, but are those with en-suite? I don't need it to be looking new, far from it, just be relatively clean and have the facilities of shower and toilet

Most are these days Vidar. As I say you will find lots of places to stay at this time of year so not much of a problem.
Hope to meet you Vidar. [Smile]

Likewise :-) Thanks for the tips and one less worry, as this seem to be quite a bargain for the accomodations. If I can get cheap flight too, then I might have enough for the trip and some purchases

Checking flights from Oslo to Manchester and it seems it's a problem for me ... Flights of about 9 hours is crazy (can go to Thailand in almost the same time). How difficult is it to get from London to Blackpool? Checked some train ticket and they were 170 Euro (or was it pounds) for one way, which seemed a bit steep. Are there buses? Trains were about 3 hours, would the buses take much longer?

Thanks for any advice
