Following my late fathers exploits making Anaglyph 3D cine films on 9.5mm cine film I followed in his footsteps making a 3D Anaglyph filming unit in the 80's. I did wonder if anyone else was busily making 3D 8mm cine films about this time?
Here is a still from a early transfer of one of my films.
Red & Green glasses.

Lee,

Very cool! Lenny Lipton did a three part series of articles for the magazine Super 8 Filmaker using two electronically interlocked Nizo 561 cameras. Unfortunately I haven't tried his method out.

Thanks guys its all very interesting. May have to dig my modified S8 camera out of the loft at this rate and shoot some more. Constructing the anaglyph unit was interesting and remember going to a mirror company asking them to make me a semi silvered mirror for the split. When I told them we were making a 3D cine camera unit they were keen to help as it was unusual for them to do that kind of work. Fun times back then and nice to have a record of family life in 3D.
