I have a Copal CPS 402 projector that has an issue:The drive belt doesn't seem to want to engage.If I reach in and pull on it slightly (with downward pressure)it will start running,hence the spindles spin.The belt doesn't appear to be too stretched or anything.Would replacing the belt with a tighter one possibly correct the problem?

To answer my own question,the fix turned out to be a 25 cent O-Ring from the hardware store. Now the machine seems to be running just fine.It's in nice shape but had some issues when I got it last year.Considering the ages of these machines,I never expect a used projector not to have some possible issues upon its arrival.
