I've seen that there appears to be two different Gladiator extracts on super 8. The most common appears to be battle of carthage. With that said, I always see it referred to as a 400 footer - but that scene (unless a bunch of before/after scene items were added) is only like 8 minutes long or less. What is actually on the 400 footer? Also, how common is the other extract (battle of germania?) and how long / what is on that one?

I've also seen someone refer to a 200ft version, so maybe they aren't 400 feet after all.

I have both of these extracts, they are both excellent and action packed, however,
Mine have fitted onto a very full 400 foot spool,
I will eventually put them onto a 600 reel purely to stop any overflow. Its a pity there wasn't one more expert to finish the end of the film but that said they are very good excerpts.
The first reel with a BBFC intro and United International picture logo intro, (hands through the corn copied since by a few other films), is as the title states the battle of Germainia and runs for approx 9 minutes and the second extract is the Battle of Carthage and is approx 13 minutes.
Take a look here

If you can get both they are 100% recommended.
