I'm curious if any of the Bowery Boys / East Side Kids films ever made it to Super-8 (or Regular-8) in any way, shape or form. Thanks!

In the last 6 months, I have seen 2 separate copies of 'Ghosts on the Loose' on ebay, in Super 8 Sound. I haven't personally seen any others on ebay lately, so I am unsure if anything else exists....others may know. Cheers, Matt Here is the old auction of one of them: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/301559310834

Hi Matthew, Thank you for the reply.Considering how popular these films were once,I'm surprised that we haven't seen more of them available in Super or Regular 8mm. A real shame in my opinion...Douglas

I recall seeing a NILES print of GOTL years ago and the quality was simply awful. The picture was very dark and scratchy and the sound was low and muffled. You should ask for a sceen shot or two before buying any public domain print in any format. Most I've seen leave a lot to be desired. They were usually struck from poor condition 16mm material and not up to CASTLE, BLACKHAWK or DERANN standards.

Unhappily, nothing has been printed on them in the gauges of 8mm - Odd thing, but several B-film series and actors haven't had that honor either
