Hi everyone,
I finally cleaned my father's Elmo ST800 film projector. It hasn't been used in more than 20 years and the drive belt melted. I ordered a new one on ebay but I think I'm installing it incorrect, it seems too big and loose. Please help. I'm unable to upload a picture

Hopefully someone will be able to advise you here Kelly, but without a photograph and no previous ownership of that particular machine, I cannot advise you further unfortunately.

They are a popular machine so someone on here will know the correct arrangement for the belt I am sure.

Kelly... This is a picture with the belt fitted on my ElMO ST800...so maybe you could compare. The green arrow is where you slip the belt thru to the back of the pulley.

Do the gears turn with the new belt you installed? If not then it's possible you were sent the wrong size belt.
