Feels good to replace a cracked part with a new part.
This is the replacement I did today with a printed part from Van Eck: http://shop.van-eck.net/film-projector-parts/p-1a/PP-0156.html?_globalsearch=st-1200

That's great!

I replaced that part on one of mine last year and I'm out of spares now.

We ask a lot out of these old machines. A lot of old tech hobbyists would be happy keeping their stuff in a display case with an engraved plaque, but we work them as hard as the day they first came out of the box.

Excellent job and a great feeling you know you did it. I should check my units. That's the feeling I got when I tore apart half my dlp tv to replace a fan.

Yes well done Mathew and of course big thanks also to Edwin who continues to support this ever dwindling hobby by facilitating those left in it with a healthy supply of vital spares!

As Steve says, many of our machines work as hard today as they were expected to in the 70's 80's and 90's.

the only way this continues to happen is through guys like Edwin and their continued ingenuity and service levels.
