I sent in my Elmo ST-180E (the telecine model with the ETC speed control) for repair, and when I got it back, the previously rock-solid speed is not so rock-solid anymore. I have to adjust the speed down as it warms up. Never had to do that before. Isn't there a speed feedback circuit - that now doesn't appear to be working?

Hi Ron,

I understand before putting your machine in repair station it was properly operating.

After somedy worked inside, it works badly....

So , If this Projector is featuring an "Electronic Speed Drive", means that speed is monitored using either kind of sensor:

- Reed Switch
- Proximity switch (Magnet plus coil)
- Tachometer

- Infrared sensor (leds), the more common now

Any of these sensor is probably installed on main shaft (Exept for Tacho which is fitted on motor).

Anyway, check speed sensor(s) for proper installation and/or plugging , as necessary.

Let us know

Phil
