Does anyone have a PDF manual for the black Chinon Whisper 727? This is the same projector as the Cinerex 727.

Janice, I have been looking for one of those manual for some time and it seems no one has them. I even tried to purchase copies from people selling projectors with manual and had no luck. I do know that it is virtually identical to the B&H 10ms if that is any help. I'll let you know if I come across one.

Thanks for the response John. I have a B&H 10MS and right away discovered the similarities when I opened the back...looked identical.

Because of the dual gauge and variable speed these machines are nice for telecine transfers. I see a manual listed on Ebay now...but it seems a bit expensive. I'll keep looking. I don't need it to operate the projector...it's just a nice to have. If I find one...I'll let you know too [Smile]

John, I located a manual for the silver version (the silver and black versions are identical) ... scanned it ... and sent you a PDF. Enjoy!

Hello John, or Janice

I tried to PM you both, but the systems says it can't do it. I'm hoping one of you might be able to help me get that Chinon manual talked about above.

Do either of you still have that PDF file that was mentioned up there? I'm a guy that could use one <grin>.

If you do, would you mind sending me a copy of it ... it would be very much appreciated if you could.

Thanks in advance either way

For what it's worth, I'm looking specifically for the bulb removal/replacement instructions, (it looks simple enough, but I'd rather follow written instructions than chance it and break the bulb ... I'm hoping to find a brighter bulb ... and any pages that discuss a Super 8 => regular 8 reel for this projector. The spindle on this thing has no way that I can find to accept what I'll call a standard 8mm ... the spindle's much too big.

Phil I can send you the manual. To remove the bulb you push down... twist...then pull up to remove the lamp from the pins. There is no brighter bulb available for these projectors...50W max.

The rear take-up spindle takes a Super 8mm reel. This is not uncommon for dual projectors since this size reel also works with Regular 8mm film. I don't have this projector anymore, but I believe the front supply reel was designed for both R8 and S8 reels. No adapter needed.
