You've less than a month now to enter my Christmas Quiz, just go to The BFCC Website and follow the link to the Independent 8 pages, you'll find the quiz at the end of the NEW STOCK items. For every correct entry I'll put in £1 CREDIT to the prize pot, which sadly at this moment is only at £8 (only 8 entries!). The questions are very easy, so why not have a go before time runs out.

I second Barry's post, and even though I haven't won in a few years, I certainly encourage all of us collectors to engage in this fun little outing!

I mean, who can't use a nice little credit at a super 8 company when it comes to film buying? [Smile]

Quite right Osi, but I've found some collectors are hard to get into the spirit of things, it's not even a case of me making people buy something before entering my quizzes, I've never asked that, but it could also be a case of some people are just not bothered, or basically lazy, I wish it wasn't true, but as I've run quizzes for years now, that can only be one of the conclusions, a sad fact I'm afraid. But as long as their are collectors like you out willing to have a go, and urge on others, it all helps, and again if enough entries come in I'll do another one in the near future.

Barry, it is the same story for all those who make any kind of an effort involved with this hobby.

Many have spoken about their frustrations surrounding the people like myself who do not frequent the conventions, many have spoken about the reasons why thousands join forums like this,and then never contribute anything??

It is just how it is unfortunately in this hobby.

Nowt queerer than folk, as they say a little further down the country to where you are.

I've given up these days wondering why anything anymore. I just do what I like to do and hope others like to share it also in one way or another. Who knows?

Andrew,

I know many collectors like you who do not frequent conventions, but like yourself are quite active in the 8mm world, there is nothing wrong with that at all. It's just frustrating that more people will not take five minutes (less than that really!) to have a go at a very simple quiz, if they are seeing it online they have email capabilities, it's not as though they have to fork out for a stamp. Still what more can I do, I can only set the quiz and live in hope that anyone has a go, still a few more would be nice.
