Possibly a slightly sad thread, and we have had similar before.
But I saw a film on ebay saying supplied by C.W. Cramp.Horsham.
It reminded me of a Mr Hurst who loved fairly close to me near Scarborough when I first, got in to the hobby. Though he was selling up then. A J Hurst ??? possibly.
There was also a chap called Keith in Newcastle had a huge house full of filmie stuff, I believe went to CHC, He did hire etc too early on.

Locally to us here Mark was Barry Wiles when he was based in London Road.
In addition to releasing Super 8 films from the BTF and others he used to hire out super 8 shorts and features (usually 4 x 4ooft Derann & Waltons). I bought box loads of these from him around 1987 when we moved here as at the time he was closing down his Super 8 hire in favour of VHS.
I hope he is still with us I will ask around locally - he also used to run a travel agency and was a school governor / mentor I recall as the last time I saw him was when my youngest was at Junior school and we had a chat while he attended an open evening there.

Mark, I remember hiring films from him when I was teenager - was it D J Hurst??
I'll have to find the old lists...
I think Keith was probably the guy from Sunderland who once owned The Movie Cabin shop - I have really fond memories of saving up and going to buy films from him on Saturday morning when I was a kid; 9 or 10 years old...happy days!
If it was him he had the shop but also hired out some films. He went big into video and I last saw him many years ago at Blackpool which he regularly attended. He told me he made quite a bit out of video and bought his own cinema.

That name sounds familiar Kevin, I wonder if I saw saw it on a film the same way some time. I wonder if he is still about.
I can`t quite work out how people ever get out of cine. I can`t manage it !!!
You are right Rob it was Sunderland, Never met Keith but did have odd contacts over the years.
I`d like to have seen his house as supposed to of been brim full of gear and films etc.
Much like Pinedene I suppose.
When I got in to cine in 88 ish, there was already not much up this way by then.
