Physical condition of the machine looks good so my guess is the seller changed them to future proof the machine while parts were still available. I've had a few of these machines and they do not go down very often. When they do its usually a small plastic gear for the rewind, maybe the electronic part that controls the capstan, or in one case I had the main motor go down but that machine was in bad physical condition so that was not too unexpected.

A guy who'd bid £560 won it with a bid of £960 (plus carriage at £20) in the end. That's about $1250 plus $26 shipping. Good buy do you think?

The seller says : "I have put near on 10x the start price into this projector so grab a great deal!" So for a "normal" Beaulieu, it's a "normal" price. If this projector benefits, as stated, from several pricey improvements and is in perfect condition then it's probably a good price I would think.

I think its a very good price considering the ill designed plastic reel holders have been replaced with the clips! Only worrying thing is the part about the take up reel not starting all the time. But it looks good and its a great machine when working well.
