I have inherited a Bell & Howell Super 8 Movie Projector Model 254 R that was my dad's. The electrical cord for the projector has dried out and cracked in several places. The cord had been wrapped around the take up reel so I don't think the cord is repairable and probably should be replaced. Do I need to concern myself with "load ratings" for the new cord. I'd like to get it up and running to view some old family movies.

Hi Marc,
What you need to be concerned with is the ampere rating of the projector's fuse. If the new line cord is rated to carry more current than the fuse, you are good to go.
