I have a delightful 400ft "Calamity Jane Promotional Reel". It's on LPP stock and starts with the first part of the cinema trailer, then goes to the various songs and dances, and finishes with the end of the trailer.

The printed stuck-on label is in black and white with three stills and data on the contents. The label also says "Printed in USA".

Does any member know who distributed this film? There is no indication, either on the box, or the leader/tail.

Thank you, Barry. I believe I bought it from you. It's a great little film.
Doris Day and Howard Keel, what personality, and superb singers.

I just recently had a chance to see this reel....it was very entertaining. I just love Doris Day! It plays like a deluxe trailer.

Catalogue No M182 in the 1990 edition. Stated as having the songs "The Deadwood Stage", "The Black Hills of Dakota" and "Secret Love".

I have the trailer and feature but not this reel, Though I have seen it at a convention or open day.

I must have one of those prints with "really bad neg marks". [Frown]
Nevertheless the print quality is good, though not stellar, and the songs are undeniably great. A must have for musical buffs.
Overall I would give this reel a B.

From memory the marks are not present all the time on here and there and not to distracting. It is a nice little digest.
