Feature found in bigger format, so super 8 mm digest needs to find a new home.

ZOMBIE - Dawn of the Dead - SOLD
Horror classic by George A. Romero, european cut by Dario Argento with music by The Goblins.
This is the 3 x 400ft released by UFA in Germany only.

One of the rarest super 8 digest ever

See my review on this page .

Good condition, light wear, fine lines. Splices at heads and tails as film was spooled on a 1200ft reel. Good colours but a bit washed out. Original leaders back where they belong. UFA boxes in good condition. Stereo English Soundtrack recreated using pulse sync at 25fps with R2 DVD. Print was cleaned and lubricated with Film Renew. 160.00 euros.

Shipping and handling costs are extra. I accept Paypal and will gladly ship anywhere in the world.

My internet connection being a bit tempermental these days, don't be alarmed if I take time to respond. Thanks for looking. [Smile]

Rest assured Osi, I still have dozens and dozens of 8mm reels here. And even if some titles are little by little being replaced by their big 35 mm brothers, there will be a while before I let super 8 go. There's nothing like finding an obscure film only released in Germany and trying to locate a good sound source to recreate the track in English or French...
But, as you might guess, finances aren't unlimited so tough choices must be made. The sensible thing to do in collecting is to let some items go in order to pay for other items. And features in professionnal format can be sometimes obtained for the fraction of the price asked for a super 8 or 16 mm print. Hey, haven't you experienced that recently with a certain 3D animated film ? [Wink]
Also, you have to remember that being a part time dealer at our annual convention here, I sometimes have the opportunity to buy films in bulk. Most of them are french titles, that's why I don't sell them through the forum. And there's always the "Disney Christmas" situation ie - you find a better print (sometimes in the aforementioned bulk) of a title you already have, so previous version has to go...
