I have 30/40 cans of 8mm film taken by my step mother on her travels to most parts of the world, Africa, Thailand, Australia in the 1960s. She was a very competent lady and used her film when she gave talks to groups like the Womans Institute. Altough the film will be more than 50 years old it seems to be OK, I saw about 5 mins of the film about 40 years ago but the the projector broke down and the family lost track of it when we tried to get it repaired.
It has been kept in cans in my garage for the last 40 years and I don't think there is anyone in the family with the time/expertise to do anything with the film.
If anyone is interested in this please contact me, I do not want payment for the films but would like the postage to be paid if you cannot collect it. There are a few mildewed brochures/maps and the odd diary that will give some context to the films.

Hi John, thanks for offering.

As I am in Indonesia, and having seen she flew to Thailand and Australia, where Indonesia is lying between the two countries, any subject about my country? I will be very much interested.

thanks

Hello, John.
Sounds it is very interesting footage, but my advise is to remove it from where it has been sitting for all this time, to a more film-friendly environment, i.e. not too warm and not too wet. I'd be very pleased to give it a new home but I am afraid shipping costs would be too high from UK to Italy. I am sure though, many forum members will be happy to get it. But move it soon!
