This guy or girl had a bunch of films listed on Ebay under an odd category:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/Star-Wars/33820/m.html?item=263359841624&_ssn=716maryann&_sac=1

This is not mine.

Thanks for the heads-up. I love when they say the reel is in good shape.

Reading the feedback, a buyer describes features like GONE WITH THE WIND and GREMLINS to be „excellent“...!

I don't know if she has upgraded her descriptions, but I wrote her about "Dr No" and Russia with Love" and she said that "No" is optical sound and "Russia" is magnetic. [Smile]

I also wrote to this same seller in the past week asking about color fade on a film. The seller's response was: Really?

This is the person that I wrote about last week who allows themselves TEN DAYS to ship an item, even if you paid right away.

The person said that the item I bought, "looks to be good" when I asked about color so, fingers crossed as to whether it'll turn out that way. [Smile]

Will report back on this ...

Furthermore, after asking the seller a couple of questions which were unanswered, I found that I've been blocked from bidding on the item.

JUst an update on this seller ...

I paid for my auction "The Man Who Would Be King" the day after the item was won (as it was won on a Sunday), she mailed it seven days after i had paid. At least it did arrive fairly quick. The seller had stated, when asked if the color was good, said, "It looks good to me".

Color was BADLY faded, nearly beet red. I mailed it back immediately and the seller received it a few days ago. The seller has until the 28th to give me my refund ...

Let's see if the seller takes the full time until the 28th to do the refund ... [Smile]

I should note that the seller may not be a professional super 8 collector and so may not know good color when she sees it, so I do cut her some slack (well the name is "maryann" on the ebay name, so I am assuming a lady [Smile] ), concerning that.

Happy to update and say that the seller DID refund me within 24 hours. [Smile]

...Unfortunate to hear of the less than satisfactory experiences from some members in dealings with this eBay seller, mentioned in more than this post. I can only add that my dealings with the gentleman have been extremely satisfactory. He is not a film collector himself, but acquired an impressive library of titles through an estate sale. I knew he had neither the knowledge or experience to answer my inquiries, however the list of titles offered in custom cases indicated these came from a meticulous and proud collector, so I took a chance. Oliver, the prints I received Are Excellent...

Again, this guy got an estate of films and equipment from someone.
He operates a small second hand record store. He is a nice guy, but has no clue about the films and/or equipment.
It's not to say that you can't get good deals though.
