Hi all,

I am the proud owner of a full feature version of Dr. Strangelove (super 8, magnetic, 5 reels). However, unfortunately I am in desperate need of money now so with great pain I am thinking of selling it.

Now I know it's quite rare and it took me a long time to finally find this film so I'm curious how much this would sell for.

Can anyone advise me on this?

It was offered in this forum for $250 in 2015. I am not sure if it is still available...so it would not be far from there.

Here is the link:

(Find second post... come with screen shot)

Good luck!

Hi Koen,
...Very tough decision to part with such a gem. I am sure by now your private mailbox is full of offers. I am sure you will do well. A print is worth what the buyer is willing to pay...I think I read that somewhere ...

Hi all!

Thanks for all the replies. Sorry for my late reaction but I was offline for a few days.

The film is in English indeed, magnetic sound. It comes in (I presume) the original box (inside is an FBI warning) containing 5 reels.

I recorded a short demonstration of the film for the people interested.

Note that it's projected on a wall with an uneven surface and my projector is bad at playing sound.

Hi guys,

Since I got so many private messages, I have decided to put the film on Ebay. It also offers me an easy way to upload some pictures I made.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dr-Strangelove-or-how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-the-bomb-on-super-8/183252995948

Starting bid is € 50 below the highest bid I got here. Hope that's not too high...

The international shipping costs are an estimation. Could be less.
