Hello i am new to this site so please bear with me ! I have got a Sankyo 700 (super 8 & stand). Its MINT and still in the original box with all packeging, manuals ect. It used to be my step fathers who bought it ,oh i dont know when they were new !! In fact i dont think he ever used it due to failing health. Can anyone on here tell me roughly what year they were manufactured ? As im going to be selling it on soon any idea of approx value ?? Thanks Chris

Chris

Are you going to sell as is, or fully working?

The former may be worth £50, but if it works OK probably, £75.

It dates from around 1980 but if it hasn't been used for years it will probably need a new belt. They don't last forever and due to being unused over time they form an egg shape between the pulleys.

I assume it comes with a stand, or are you using the word "stand" to suggest this Super 8 sound projector can run standard 8 film?

Good luck with the sale, but don't forget that something is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it!

Thanks maurice, not sure yet whether to sell as it is or not ! Obviously i would like to sell it in perfect working order but im a bit daunted by the prospect of setting it up ! Not sure about the stand because i was reffering to standard and super 8. [Roll Eyes] ........Just had a peak inside box and NO stand ! The body of the projecter looks brand new !!! All the little bits are still in there little bags, even the polystyrene still in the original box. If i can find the time to set it up i will(i have some old films, charlie chaplain, laural and hardy ect). To tell you the truth i dont really want to mess with it,its not really my cup of tea and i dont know what im doing!!

Chris,

Welcome to the Forum. I hope you'll be able to take advantage of Maurice's kind offer.
I've changed the title of your posting to include the projector model, so interested members will take a look.
