That is WAY too much for shipping, but B&H's price of $25 is for ONE Gepe reel & case, making the minumum order of ten $245 before tax (if any) and shippping.
If you're not in a hurry, an Ebay search will eventually get you there. They do turn up in modest quantities from time to time, and not for that much money. That's how I stocked up on a few Elmos. $10 average is my fuzzy recollection.

Hey Jim - Ahhh, I scrolled down and saw them finally. They are a bit pricey for plastic reels even with cases. I think I will try for the ones on Ebay right now. Brian

The intereting part is Moment Catcher Productions actually is the E-bay seller that I linked to above.
The Gepes aren't a typical plastic reel. They are very nicely made: no casting lines or warpage. I've had any number of other brands I didn't like as much.

For What Its Worth -
I am preparing to create an online film supply store ( if a product I am currently developing is successful ) and have been researching prices from different suppliers. Unfortunately GEPE reels are very expensive directly from the US distributor. I intend to offer them for slightly less, however the prices from MomentCatcher are near dealer cost.
