hi, i'am new member, sorry if i could not present me better then this, i made some of these plastic pcs to lock the tape firmly on the spool, if you need i can ship worldwide, regards it's for 8mm size.

I too want these rather than the taped ones I usually get :-) Hate the tapes, always make a mess so I need to cut the leader every time.

This doesn't do any damage to film, does it?

Vidar, this will not make any damage to film.

But the problem with a cheap plastic or non-precision clip that they tend to get loose resulting it will not hold the leader at all.

I send answer directly to each one.
I'd like to add that this pcs are made in resin, the pcs are quite elastic and fit perfectly into spool for 8mm tape. I have try it many times, i have just sale it here in italy too, and it work correctly, the pcs fit in the spool by side so i think there is no way to damage tape, as you see in the picture there is one pushed into the spool. Hi Silvano,I must say your clips look to be a far superior job to
those little shallow ones that were available,and if the spool were full, even a little strip of paper tape across the spool and over the clip would be great at keeping the film in place with no sticky residue.Excellent.
