In the next week or so Van Eck Video services will be bringing to market a complete version of the Beaulieu plastic spindle hubs as currently only available from Wittners.
I have seen the prototypes of these and they appear very good quality and very sturdy precision manufactured replicas of the originals.
No doubt, also, they will be a fraction of the price of the originals but I am unsure whether or not they will be supplied with the two tiny incorporated bearings.
We may very well be expected to transfer our two original bearings from the existing hubs into these new replicas.
All will be revealed very soon!
They are also manufacturing the Bauer studio class hubs, though I have never known these to break or wear personally.

Hi Andrew,
Any chance to see in the future also the plastic gears of the Fumeo 9119/9120 as spare parts? As far as I know no one can provide them now, am I right?

No idea on Fumeo machines Flavio, but what I do know is that Edwin of Van Eck Video services is very determined to manufacture all parts that he can for what he describes as " the better 8 & 16mm machines.
So far On the 8mm front, he includes Braun, Beaulieu, Bauer Studioline models and Elmo GS to date. Hopefully this will soon be extended to the Eumig S938/40 models as well as Fumeo.
If you write to him by e mail Flavio, I am certain he will take your enquiry seriously and if demand is sufficient, then I see no reason why not!
Basically Flavio if people ask, he will produce using the best of today's 3D technology to date.
I am sure it would help your cause if you could submit an engineering drawing or an old part for him to work with.
The same goes to anyone else who requires new plastic/ nylon parts for any of the "better" machines.

I would like to thank Andrew who suggested me to contact Edwin Van Eck who has been very kind and available to realize this gear! It works great!
Furthermore, my special thanks to my great friend Hugh Scott who helped me with another original gear!

Thanks Flavio and you are quite right Sir, Hugh is indeed a great guy to deal with from the brief conversations I have had with him.
What Edwin is doing here is just tremendous for all high end S8 users. It should enable these machines to have a clean Bill of health for decades now when placed in the right hands. Thanks again Edwin!!
