Hi I'd like to add a line/aux out on my B&H TQII / 1655 16mm projector.

I was once told to take connections from either end of the Voume controls carbon track. I have tried this - signal from the top end and ground from the 0 end. It does work, but the line out at this point is very low level, and I have to have the external amplifier volume very high.

Is there a better place to obtain line level out from this machine?

Brian,
In this model, the Volume control is fed directly from an Integrated Circuit Amplifier and there is NOWHERE prior to the Volume control where a better level signal can be obtained.
It is possible to take off a signal later in the amplifier, but its Level and Tone would be affected by the Volume, Treble and Bass controls.
If it is helpful to you, PM or Email me and I will send you a cct (schematic) diagram with suggestions.
Martin
