I have a chance to buy 2 working projectors for $200! Came from TV station. 6ft tall and heavy! Problem is, I know nothing about them and the sheer size! Seems like they would be the ultimate 16mm projector though.
Any thoughts are ideas will be helpful...
Thanks!

I had four of them in the past, two old blue ones, and two of the later beige ones. They are excellent telecine machines but do not have a lot of light output for normal projection (plus the five-blade shuttter cuts down light even more). They will take 4000' reels and have optical/magnetic sound reproduction. They have a very complicated circuit so keep that in mind if anything goes wrong. Rock steady picture, great sound with virtual instant start up.

These are really sought after to convert to digital telecine machines. I'm jealous, I've wanted one for ages! They don't come up often in Oz.
You can remove the existing video camera and replace it with a machine-vision camera and get really excellent transfers.
