Many collectors who manage to find an I.B. Technicolor print are often upset to discover that it is warped, this can cause problems with a loose take-up with an egg shaped roll of film slowly gathering at the spool.
One way to help the problem is to use a much larger take-up spool that the feed spool.
But what to do if the feed is a large spool which is part of a feature?
The answer is to twist the film as it leaves the last roller and insert on the spool that way.
You will find in most cases that the film will take-up quite tightly.
Don't forget when rewinding that the film has twist on it!

It is amazing how well simply twisting the film at the takeup works to prevent the baggy takeup problem....at least most of the time.
