I had problems using my Kodak Pageant. The picture was not in overall focus. I re-laced two or three times but eventually had to turn to the manual for assistance. There it was, quite clear, "Ensure claw is retracted before commencing lacing, turn inching knob until white dot is facing the lens".

I followed the instructions, and yes, it now laced perfectly. I have many projectors which have manual lacing but have never encountered any instance where the claw needed to be retracted.

Yep, Kodak is about the only one I can think of that says to do that. I usually turn the inching knob after threading on any manual threading machine that has an inching knob, and that will sync the claw with the sprockets.

Nice projectors, those Kodak Pageant's.
I've got one too. What I like a lot is the smell of it :-)
