Hi Melvin, I would have loved to have gone for the day, but its the day we are going on holiday. I am thinking of going into 16mm, just need a touch of convincing about the cost and the space it will take up. I will certainly be going to the 8mm weekend in August, I just need to book a hotel. Will you be going to that one? Regards, Clive

Clive - I am aiming to get to the August open day, fingers crossed.
As far as 16mm is concerned... the cost is not that restrictive.Certainly either on par or even below 8mm costs which seems odd really, as we are dealing with a larger format. What you DO need is SPACE. 16mm films do take up a whole lot of room. To try and make some comparison between 8mm and 16mm, it is probably the difference between storing 20 of your favoutite 7" singles..... or having them all on one cd.

I'll be going. Even just to see what he has got, though I am rather low in 16mm - and storage space unfortunately. Perhaps it will spur me to clear out other things I should have thrown away/recycled.

Due to bad timing and train cancellation I didn't get there until he was closed for the day. Had a slightly damp day in Cleethorpes and visited a few pubs though.
