Any problem placing metal reels into archival plastic cans? I'm slowly acquiring new archival plastic reels/vans with the vent holes, but it's not an inexpensive project. I already have some films on metal reels that are in good shape. Thanks.

The only archival cans that I have seen are for storage on cores, this is to allow air to circulate all round the film.
It is not possible to close down the lid properly if a spool is used, and may also also cause cinching if many cans are stacked on top of one another.
