Hi chaps,

Does anyone happen to have a 16mm optical sound audio test film, either for sale or loan?

I want to check the sound head, photocell alignment and guides, of my projectors. I have test equipment including oscilloscope etc.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You can get SMPTE 16mm test film from Wittners but I'm not sure if they do a sound track alignment film. You could email them and ask them.

Have now sent e-mails all over the globe in the hopes that somewhere someone will respond with an item for sale.

Michael Coffin has kindly offered me the loan of his Jiffy test film, but we'll wait and see if something appears from closer to home than the US.

I had a reply from Wittners. They no longer supply. I have sourced a range of test films from Chuck (Charles) Hessinger. I have placed an order.

Here is his e-mail. It may be of use to other members of the Forum:
