Anyone have ORIGINAL lpp prints of either for sale? Absolutely not interested in reductions or dupes. I need JEDI in scope. Would consider a flat lpp of STAR WARS, though I've heard there are AGFA scope originals which I would prefer.

Send a PM to me, please, if you have one for sale.

Mike

Mike,

Still looking for Star Wars films on 16mm? I just saw this auction for a 'scope "Empire" and "Jedi" on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/16mm-film-2-SCOPE-STAR-WARS-EMPIRE-STRIKES-BACK-RETURN-OF-THE-JEDI-LPP-N-MINT-/200739741360?pt=US_Film&hash=item2ebd055eb0

The starting bid of $300 (reserve, of course) is good but the Buy It Now price? $4,600. [Eek!]

The auction ends in ten days.

Good luck if you plan to bid.

Thanks for the heads up. I saw the auction right when it was listed and asked the seller if the prints were originals, or reductions. Though it's a bit hard to tell from the pics, they looked like reductions to me. Very contrasty.

Anyways, he never responded, and then someone bought them at the Buy it now price so it was a moot point.

If they were originals, good for the buyer. Pricey, but rare.

If they were reductions, I would never in a million years pay that kind of price for them.

Those were definitely reductions - I believe he got them from me a number of years ago... He made quite a nice profit on them too...

PS - I've never seen or heard of Scope/LPP originals on any of the Star Wars films. Although, there should be some at least for Jedi which was issued in 1983.
