Hi Guys,

I've been offline for a couple of weeks, so apologies to anyone with whome I've open deals, etc. I'll get back in touch but not soon.

I was in a serious car crash two weeks ago (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/highlands_and_islands/7995176.stm) and, thanks to 12 fractures, pins and plates will be in hospital for most of the next six weeks.

My 16CL was the only fatal casualty (when the fire brigade cut the car apart) so I'll be looking for a new machine in a couple of months!!

cheers
Stewart

Stewart!

Best wishes for your speedy recovery.

Don't worry about another car. A car can be replaced, but you, my friend (as I consider all on this forum to be my friends), are irreplaceable!

So, once again, the absolute best wishes from the Osgood Family!

Nasty, Get well very soon...

It has certainly made me think. I stopped using the phone when driving and had the photocopier taken out some time ago but on a long journey there is nothing quite like the sound of the super 8mm projector whirrring away on the back parcel shelf and plugged in the 12v cigarette lighter socket.....I don't have room for an Elmo 16CL Stewart unlike you. Did it happen when you were changing reels [Big Grin]

(sorry couldn't resist and hope it makes you smile!)

Cheers Tony, that did make the old ribs ache!!!

I don't think it was the reel change - perhaps I shouldn't have installed fully automated curtains on the windscreen!

I wonder if the hospital will let me have a projector in the ward?

Yeah, and then find a print of George C Scott's classic black comedy, "The Hospital".

(Actually, I don't think they would be amused) [Smile]

From BBC:

quote:
Three people have been injured, one seriously, in a head-on collision
The BBC journalist didn't mention anything about the projector...it's not fair, IT'S NOT FAIR ! [Big Grin]

Get well soon Stewart...!

cheers
