I just purchased a Sony Blu-Ray DVD player and I hooked upped the audio out L/R channels to the audio in L/R channels in my A/V receiver.I don't get any sound from my center speaker which I did before with my other DVD player.Am I doing something wrong or is it the DVD which has the 5.1 sound codes in it.Thanks

You need a digital coax or optical cable ("SPDIF") OR an HDMI connection to your receiver to transmit 5.1 sound data from the player to your receiver. Of course, the receiver settings also need to be set for the number of speakers you have, PLUS your preferences for a given input need to be indicated (e.g., "THX Cinema"). Sorry, sounds like it's time to pore over the manual.
