Greetings all; just wondering if there are many, if any, Canadians on the forum? I just signed up and I'm located in Ottawa, Ontario. Hope to find some other "locals" interested in buying/selling/trading.....see you on the forum!

Well I am glad to see a few "locals" on the forum! As I said in my intorduction in another thread I'm new to this world but when I take an interest in something I become a little obsessed lol. Right now I'm working to get the projectors I have up and running and start picking up film to view.

Hi Adam
Actual Canadian retailers will be a tough go.
There is a film supply store outside Toronto that does online sales.
Numbers Film Supply

I've purchased from them before although they don't have a whole lot of 8mm.

Most of my local luck has come from Goodwill type thrift shops or KIJIJI ( found my Eumig S938 there )

I've even got my own store up but it's hard to have get enough stock on there as it goes fast.

For interest here it is Super 8 Surplus

I do scan any manuals I come across and put them up as free downloads. I see you recently found a Berkey Keystone, that manual is there if you need it.

Put wants on the forum, its a great bunch and someone may have what your looking for.

Cheers
Terry

I have family in Toronto and Vancouver. My very first holiday film was shot in 1974 in Vancouver, great city, a great country and uber friendly people. Glad to see Canucks here, just wish your immigration procedures were not so difficult, I'd be over like a shot.

I had two uncles out there, one of them was only 14 years old
when he went out there to work, determined he wasn't going
down the pit, like the majority of my family back in 1930.

Hey Adam,

For "bulbs" I've been thrilled with the inventory and customer service of:

http://www.specialtybulb.com/

...located in Langley, BC (not too far out of Vancouver).

I'm looking for a Canadian supplier of splice tapes, etc. Let me know if you find a Canadian supplier ..,

Keith
