For members in the UK who have access to Freesat I recommend the movies4men channel.
In quiet day-time slots they show quite a few old British B-features, often with a logo of Renown Pictures which announces that it is digitally re-mastered.
I have just been watching "There Is Another Sun" (1951) with Maxwell Reed, Laurence Harvey and Susan Shaw. The film was made at Nettlefold Studios at Walton-on-Thames, a further title said that world distribution and copyright was by Butcher's Film Services.
It would seem that Renown have access to quite a few old British films.
To receive Freesat either a TV or a video recorder for Freesat is necessary, although a Sky dish will pick up the signals. As the name says it's free to receive.

Great link Maurice, it's amazing to think that there's a wealth of stuff out there just waiting to be rediscovered.Back in the day, a lot of it would be available on 9.5 16mm & even std 8mm.

I will have to watch out for that film as these channels repeat a lot. The original Renown films and logo were owned by George Minter. Renown have their own website, but I don't think they mention the Minter connection.

I can't see why Renown should have their logo on the front of a Butcher's film release unless they perhaps have bought the rights.
The film is not scheduled within the next seven days.

I wonder if they sell NTSC versions of their films?

Maurice, maybe it's the same as Studio Canal, they just own the rights to the film. A lot of old British films are now owned by ITV.

Renown Films had a couple of tables at the 2010 BFCC and did good business. I have quite a number of their dvd releases, most of them look and sound very good.
