Well folks l am about to go through ( along with many others ) a category 5 cyclone, this is as bad as it gets 600ml of rain and 300km hour winds expected, if l did not say l was concerned l would be lying.
l am stuck at work with the fire service on a LNG gas plant of all places to be accross from the main land on a island and cant get home due to the harbour being closed.
l just hope l have a home and film collection to return too as these type of cyclones have a tendency to leave nothing behind.
But at the end of the day all l care for is that my family is safe and that l can get home with a bit of luck late tomorrow.

Anyway time to get back to work as l have 1700 people here to look after on the site so take care all and will let you know how we go over here after it has passed. [Big Grin]

Yes, take care Jason. Fortunately, I'm at home and this far south,I think we will just get heavy rain and strong winds. It's difficult to tell. Schools at this stage are open as normal,so I will be going to work. Hope I don't get stuck there.

Jason, I've just read this post about the cyclone and I am appalled. I hope everything is over now and all is fine. But please let us know as I'm sure everybody is concerned here.

Best,

Maurizio

Hi guys,

I made it through the cyclone and got home yesterday.
My family and home are all ok however many others were less fortunate with entire homes destroyed or flooded.
It is going to be a big clean up.

It's a real sorrowful situation whenever you hear of people's homes being completely wiped out in one horrendous sweep of nature and one I am certain, each and every member can empathize with.

I am just pleased by the one good bit of news reported that at least you and your family Jason, are all safe and sound thank goodness [Smile]
