Hi All, I wanted to let everyone know that due to the wife and I having our first baby I maybe be a bit slow in responding to people's PMs and Emails. Please don't take it personally I simply can't respond as quickly as I used to. Thank you for your patience!

Congratulations!!
... and may this child grow to have an over-bearing fondness for film, so that you're beloved collection won't end up on ebay for pennies after you have passed on!

Congrats to you both! Maybe the sound of the projector will be soothing for the little to fall asleep to What a wonderful time ahead!

Nice one Dominique! btw Adam, in all seriousness : To save running film through to make the projector sound, here is a 3 hour sound video clip that i am certain a baby would fall asleep too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6J7n5fLBic

So pleased for you Adam. When the baby's screaming and it's your wife's turn to do the honours, use the sleepless hours wisely....catalogue your films. It's a golden opportunity. Ha ha. Best wishes.

Congratulations, Adam!
-although at first I saw "New Baby" and thought it this should be in the 9.5mm forum!
Treasure these times: they pass quickly and even the disturbing parts can become fond memories.
I found the whole diaper concept really revolting. I hatched elaborate schemes involving hazmat suits, SCUBA gear and fireplace tongs. (I'm the youngest in my family: no prior experience!)
The standard procedure was to wipe: I just bathed the kid and hoped the next time my wife would be home.
-but here's the strange part about being a parent:
There came a day eventually, when he managed to do the doodoo the way big kids do. You would think I'd be out on the lawn dancing to speakers set in the windows, but no:
-I felt this twinge of regret he was growing up! (-Even at the moment, I thought "What is WRONG with me??")
Your days like this are coming: savor what happens in between.

I've done a reasonable amount of really cool stuff in my life, but never anything more important than what you've now started doing!
