Just heard, very sad. Roger Moore was a true Hollywood star, from humble beginnings. His memoirs, My Word is my Bond, showcases him as both gentleman and self effacing, knowing his limitations etc etc. Iam proud to say I have several films starring Roger on both super 8 and 16, inc GOLD and live and Let Die. Remembering Roger on this very sad day in England.

I am sad to say that his passing for me is somewhat overshadowed by the deaths of those children and adults that have been killed at the Manchester Concert terrorist attack. R.I.P. all of them.

I actually liked him better in his non-Bond roles though, after having seen him as Bond, I always felt like I was watching, "Bond does "Shout at The Devil" for instance.
He always did exude class, in my opinion and elevated even mediocre films that he was in to a higher standard and made them watchable.

A local boy for me. He was born about 2 miles away and in his early years used the lido and pub at the other end of the side street opposite my house.
