Thinking on the bright side, sometimes you might get "treasures" from this kind of sellers.
(A bit unrelated to films but hey...) Recently I saw a professional hdv tape vcr (Sony HVR-M25,to name it) at local garage sales. The seller had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what it is,only knowing that it still fires up,but untested, and that's it.
Since the asking price was only about 78$,so I decided to took the gamble. After bargain I eventually end up taking it home at just 58$. Guess what? It turned out to be FULLY FUNCTIONAL. If I throw it up on Ebay I might get a few hundred $'s from it,but decided to keep it - might be useful to me in the future.
BTW still had absolutely no idea how this pricey piece ended up there?
