I have just been watching Hallmark's "The Christmas Train" about some travellers at Christmas who take a train from Washington DC to Los Angeles, via stop-overs at Toledo OH, Chicago IL and La Junta CO.
In Chicago I was surprised to see them re-board the same train to continue their journey. I always assumed that it was necessary to change trains at Chicago as there were no through trains.
Have things changed, or is this just Hallmark fiction?
