Hi all, this is my first message on the forum.

My dad dug an old 9.5mm camera, a Pathescope B, out of the attic and I made my first film with it a few weeks ago. The film suffered heat damage apparently, hence the poor quality. Here it is on my blog:

Can anyone explain what happens near the end of the clip (32 seconds in) when the edge of the screen disappears? And also, can anyone tell me what this button on the camera does?

Thanks!

Hi Iain,
welcome to the forum, the frame edge does seem to encroach towards the end, it's a fairly definite line - could this camera have a frame mask that has moved? The only other option I can think is there is a stray bit of film in the chamber that has masked off part of the gate.

Hi John, thanks for that. I'm off to Lyme Regis tomorrow and I have another film to experiment with. I'll post up the results here. Hopefully it will be more impressive ;-)
