Please see this earlier thread http://8mmforum.film-tech.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=001181# 000000

I now have 3mm and 5mm weldable belting available at £1-75 and £2-75 per metre respectively, to include UK postage. Mimimum length 1 metre but can cut to ANY length above this at pro-rata pricing.(Check the price; this is much lower than elsewhere). This is green in colour and has a slightly rough surface which gives great grip on pulleys etc. I have successfully used the 3mm to replace the four rubber belts on my 48 year old Specto Royal, giving it a new lease of life, and the 5mm as a rewind belt around both spool holders of an old tape recorder.
Welding can be achieved using a soldering iron (or "hot knife") and aligning the two ends by hand. This can even be done with the material in situ in the machine, thus avoiding disassembly of mechanisms.
Some of you have already expressed interest, but a hard disk failure has left me without a record. Anyone interested should contact me at..... blagdonian(at)btinternet(dot)com

Hi Martin. Have you any 5mm weldable flat belting left ? If so could I order 2 metres?
Best wishes Geoff Kelly.
