Okay, it's time for a new screen. Matte White is the all purpose screen surface with a viewing angle of 50 degrees and a gain of 1.0. I like the idea of the Glass Beaded's 2.5 gain but can anyone tell me what the drop-off is like outside the 30 degree viewing angle? (And yes....I have tried screen paint.)
Thanks,
Doug

As I recall, it'll drop down to about what a Matte White is. However it's really noticeable since it so bright in the 30 degrees zone.

If you have an auditorium style seating, then stick with matte, if you can arrange seating withint the 30 degrees, then you might be happy with the glass bead.

I never have been happy with lenticular which has high gain as well but really, really, drops off (like projection tv sets).

Matt is the only choice for scope. Unless you are sitting right in the middle and a fair way away, the difference in brightness over the screen is noticeable. Curving the screen a bit helps, but only on axis.
