I'm doing a presentation at a conference at the University of BC this Saturday, and I need a Super8 projector. I'd prefer an Elmo ST 1200, but I'd use anything good that I can find. My usual friend I borrow from says his Elmo is on the blink. Does anyone in the area have something I could borrow for a few hours on Saturday evening? I'm an experienced user, with lots of hours logged here in New York. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! I'm leaving for BC on Thurs morning, so I'll be in town as of thurs night.

It sounds like you've been there before, so you probably have, but have you tried contacting UBC Media Group's AV department?

I was told the AV department didn't even have working 16mm projectors, let alone Super8! In my experinence very few schools still have Super8mm projectors. Some art schools do (Massachussetts College of Art does, and the SF Art Institute does too, for example) but not too many others. So I'm sill looking in Vancouver!
