Hello fellows!
I have a question. How many belts does the Elmo ST-180E use? Is it 2? I am just curious as I have a machine without belts.And where can I get these belts? At my local hardware store? Also, what is the best way to lubricate the machine? WD-40?

Hi Alan you can get the proper belts cheapely enough but on wd40 I would try a proper grease or oil as 40 can actually wash the lube away, it can make things actually wear a bit quicker.
A proper oil or grease is much better really.
Theres a good chap in the UK does the proper belts cheaply enough but I dare ay you can get them your way as well, someone should know.

Hi Alan,

Don't use oil nor wd40 on your projector gears, get youself an airosol spray can of White Lithium Grease which comes with a thin pipe which can be attached to the spray nozzle, making it easier to aim the grease to the parts you need to lubricate without spraying any other surounding parts. You can get Lithium Grease from most motor factor type shops. I use a White Grease called TETRA-SLIP which is made by Tetrosyl Oils Ltd. Bury Lancashire Tel:0161 764 5981. I use that on all the gears in all my B&Hs/Eiki 16mm equipment, and also my 8mm equipment, and have had no problems over the years I've used it, it is also excellent and safe to use on the nylon Worm Gear in the older B&Hs.
