Was the Elmo ST-1200D Magnetic/Optical projector ever made for standard 8mm?

Hello Dan,
To answer your question about ST1200,in a word,no.
There was never a standard 8 version made.The only variation was regarding sound,the model imported into the UK was optical and magnetic but Elmo made optical only and magnetic only versions.

I hav e seen the odd 600 foot capacity elmo modified to std 8 so you can do decnt cine to video for std8 so there may be the odd hybrid 1200 as well about somewhere. You never know!!!!!!
