Hello Paul,

Just had to express my appreciation for your most courteous service the other day when I called in to pick up the consignment of films which you had kindly held on to for me.

As explained, I make 'fairly' regular trips up and down the M6 corridor to my business clients and colleagues on the Wirral, so it made sense to call in person, rather than leave it to the Royal Mail or some other courier.

I am particularly grateful to Paul for reserving the films for several weeks until I was able to call in, as the last time I was in his area was when he was on holiday.

I also purchased some spare projector lamps for my Eumig 810D.

It was a pleasure to meet you, Paul, and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

I've never visited Foster Films. What's his set up like? I heard he'd had an extension built on to house the films. Tell us all...hold nothing back!

Hi Simon,

Well!

Firstly, I received impeccable directions from J12 on the M6. Didn't make a wrong turn once. When I arrived in his road, I discovered that the last house in the odd numbering on the left hand side was No.17. Paul's house is No.19, and all evens were on the other side of the street. Fortunately there was a rather attractive young lady in the front garden of No.26 whom I asked where No.19 was. She told me that it was round behind No.17, down a driveway which looked like a private rear entrance to No.17. Anyway, this turned out to be Paul's driveway.

Upon approaching the front door, there was a clear notice requesting all business callers etc, to use another entrance farther round. The door was open, and Paul greeted me as soon as I appeared. I didn't ask him if this was a new extension, as it blended in so well with the rest of the building, it simply didn't cross my mind.

His operation is on two floors, with all 8mm being on the ground floor and all 16mm upstairs. The ground floor area is a fairly large room with many racks of 8mm movies and equipment, including projectors, lamps and the usual Aladdin's cave of cine paraphernalia. He has a fairly large desk/workstation of the 90 degree type. In a truly professional manner, Paul had my order neatly boxed up, complete with the list of items I had requested - and the price checked out correctly too!

Unfortunately we only chatted for about 15 or 20 minutes, as by this time it was around 3pm and I really wanted to get back round the dreaded M25 before the real rush-hour. Nevertheless, I spent a few extra quid on some spare lamps for my Eumig 810D before leaving, and came away a very happy bunny!

I'm sure Paul would welcome anyone wishing to call in. I shall certainly go again when passing, and especially when I am after a particular item.

Yes I too can confirm the findings of the previous correspondant.Paul is a genuine and well-informed person.
Delightfulk too is his location,fortunateley for me,he is only 45mins drive away.I bought an ST1200 off him and still I buy the odd gem of a film he always manages to come up with.
