Congrats to all who put on Cinefest this year. I had a great time...and picked up some wonderful 16mm features and a few very choice super 8 items , too. Therre was a lot of 8mm at the show..... I got a rare Larry Semon comedy and some other nice shorts.
Best buy was a very nice reduction scope 16mm print of Star Wars for 200 dollars. Got to see lots of films , too in the screenings.

Hey!!!!-

How about a heads-up next time! When and where was this Cinefest event? I will definately attend the next one if I know about it.

The U.K. memebers always promote these type of events well in advance, but when there's something over here in the U.S., its always just mentioned "after the fact" [Frown]

Throw me a bone......need the in-fo..... [Wink]

Hey Gary, did we meet? - I was hangin' alot near Al Bartosh's 8mm outlay, found about half-dozen shorts I needed - Say hello, I was wearing the "Shorty" badge too - And Jim, the next one and near-everyone is held about early March in Syracuse, so look for it that time, when I hear, will be sure to post information - Stay in touch - Shorty

Thanks Shorty! I'll be looking forward to it-

Maybe if we talk it up enough, we can get a few more forum members involved! [Smile]

Why am I picturing you as a bald guy with a scar on his face holding the little twinkie finger to his mouth right now? [Big Grin]

Thanks for the image, Jan. I'll take it to my grave . . .

A little Austin Powers hasn't hurt anybody yet [Wink]

Forgive me, Jan, I misunderstood the reference entirely. I imagined the bald guy with the scar chewing on SOMEONE ELSE'S dismembered finger.

Now I feel much better, except for my growing unease that such a thought came so readily to my mind.

I'm off to bed(lam)!

Hee Hee [Big Grin] !

Scott- Are you sure watching all those horror movies as a kid did'nt have just a LITTLE effect on you? [Eek!]

Jan- Good job! I see your up on your Austin Powers trivia. I'll use a more obscure line next time to see if you can guess what it is. [Wink]

Yikes, Scott, I didn't even realize you misunderstood my reference. Poor fella, sorry to give you that kind of image there. [Smile]
