Hi good people.
This weekend I projected a Derann print of Elvis Girls! Girls! Girls!. Colors was great and everyting was bliss.. sort of.
We wanted some more sound and I have one external speaker with internal amlifyer. Brandname is "jamo". I hooked it up but could not get any sound. I have used it before on another projector, so I know it woorks. I couldn't find the manual either so I wasn't sure I was doing it right, and I am going to try again this evening.
But this is possible, right? using just one? you do not have to hook up two speakers?. Any idea what I did do wrong?

Which output from the projector did you use?

On the back side I tried both external speakers outlets. There is also a headset outlet i think wich I didn't try (with a headset).

Darn strange. Last night, I threatened the Elmo if it would not work I would kick it real hard, and suddenly sweet sound from the extension speaker! Yay!
I am going to start every repair job this way now.

That's just how Kevin Faulkner carries out all his repairs.

Sweet, I knew there was a secret to it

Before giving a show, I always talk to my Elmos in a friendly, but determined way and tell them how to behave:
Don't blow the lamp during projection. Don't wow and flutter. Don't scratch the film and give a steady and sharp output. In most cases, it works and they do a good job. But I'm afraid if I threatened them, they could behave in a strange manner.
Maybe Knut's Elmo needs a little threatening to work properly. In fact, each one is different...
