I stumbled on something in a reel of trailers I purchased. Does anyone have any idea what Derann reel it comes from?

The short clip is the old Derann Films logo and then a voice comes over the music to announce Super 8 in 1987.

Any clues what dayset reel its from as I am clueless. I will try to get a clip of this on youtube when I get chance.

What trailers were they for, I know it sounds stupid but I do have a somewhat answer but if you can tell me the tiltes of the trailers it will confirm my answer.

Hello Dave.
As it happens the Derann 87 clip was spliced at the start of some trailers so I don’t think it will help any. Ill try to get the video clip on youtube later today if I can get a minute here at work. A great shame but it’s not Derek’s voice which would have been a nice keepsake.

More shortly.

At last I have found time to do the deed and done the mobile video thingy.
Anyone any more info re this, what seems to be Derann special celebratory opener?
The colour is perfect and pin sharp with excellent sound.

Any info from anyone about it would be good.

The cine clip will soon be viewable here on you tube.
